Stafford Rosenbaum Receives ‘Best Women-Led Law Firms’ Honor from Wisconsin Law Journal
Stafford Rosenbaum recognized with a Wisconsin Law Journal “Women in the Lead” honor
Stafford Rosenbaum LLP is proud of its recent recognition with a “Women in the Lead” distinction by the Wisconsin Law Journal! The award highlights lawyers and law firms that have demonstrated commitment to women leadership in the community, legal profession, and in its own firm. Nearly half of Stafford Rosenbaum’s owners are women, and four of its five Board of Directors members are women. Attorneys Katherine Harrell (Managing Partner), Johanna Allex, Jessica Mederson, Denasha Scott, and James Statz are Stafford Rosenbaum’s Board members.
Being a law firm led and overseen by women not only demonstrates but ensures Stafford Rosenbaum’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Women leadership in the legal profession is important because it helps bring all perspectives into consideration for our clients, community, and firm functions. Women and members of other marginalized groups have historically been underrepresented in the legal profession, and we believe that an opportunity for a law firm to be women led allows that firm to shine as role models, advocates, supporters, and innovators.
We are fortunate to have had several great examples of women leadership in Stafford Rosenbaum’s Board of Directors; Attorney Kristine Euclide was the first female Managing Partner of Stafford Rosenbaum and served on its Board of Directors between 1985 and 1995. The firm was also among the first in Dane County to promote a woman to a partnership position. Stafford Rosenbaum celebrates what it has achieved through a commitment to serving its clients well, supporting its own attorney and staff development, looking for opportunities to promote proactive change, and providing mentorship to those who are marginalized within our organization, profession, and community.
