Attorney Mason Higgins to present at State Bar of Wisconsin’s Annual Debtor-Creditor Bankruptcy Updates
Stafford Rosenbaum Attorney Mason Higgins will present on real estate issues in bankruptcy, including single-asset real estate issues commercial leases, on Wednesday, November 6, for the Annual Debtor-Creditor Bankruptcy Update for the Eastern District, and on Thursday, November 7, for the Western District. Both updates are presented by the State Bar of Wisconsin. This year’s updates feature time-tested legal techniques, the latest case law, and fresh insights into current court affairs. Attendees, whether they represent individuals, businesses, or financial institutions, will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of recent rulings from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Wisconsin’s Western District as the judges themselves reveal the reasoning behind their decisions. Experienced practitioners will be on hand to provide clarity, practice tips, and varying perspectives on non-dischargeability under 11 U.S.C. §532(a)(4) and (6); Chapter 7 and 13 concerns when an insolvent client passes away; common real estate questions in bankruptcy; and key evidentiary issues in bankruptcy cases, including direct and cross examination of expert witnesses.
