Attorney Kieran O’Day’s Practice
Attorney Kieran O’Day is an associate in Stafford Rosenbaum’s Madison office. He practices government and municipal law, with a special focus on representing and advising municipalities through the litigation and appeals processes and in the various facets of leadership, policy, and planning. In addition to municipal matters, Kieran’s litigation and appellate work also concentrates on election and political law and corporate litigation.
Kieran is an experienced appellate litigator, effective writer, and strong oral advocate, following his service as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, where he honed his appellate writing and advocacy skills, including arguing at the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the State of Wisconsin v. McBride (21AP311). He also served as the Judicial Law Clerk to Chief Justice Patience Roggensack of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, where he gained invaluable legal research and writing experience. In his practice, Kieran is incredibly detail-oriented, collaborative, and pragmatic in his approach to resolving client issues and questions, providing thoughtful yet efficient solutions to both routine matters and special projects.
While studying at Marquette Law School, Kieran received several recognitions, including those for coursework achievement, Marquette Law Review involvement as a member and editor, as a student associate at the Marquette Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic, and moot court competition and membership. Kieran maintains connections to Marquette by coaching law school students during the National Moot Court Competition and by judging briefs and oral arguments for the Jenkins Intramural Moot Court Competition.
