Attorney Seep Paliwal moderates panel during State Bar’s Cultural Competency in Family Law Cases training
In January 2025, the Supreme Court of Wisconsin approved providing CLE credit for cultural competency training. Stafford Rosenbaum Attorney Seep Paliwal will moderate a presentation featuring a panel of experts during the State Bar of Wisconsin’s very first offering of cultural competency training in family law cases. Participants can view the Cultural Competency in Family Law Cases 2025 CLE in person at the State Bar of Wisconsin or via live webcast on Monday, November 10; future dates for viewing the recorded webcast are also available. This half-day seminar offers 4.0 CLE credits.
This seminar will address how clients’ backgrounds, experiences, and cultures shape every case and can be crucial to building trust, presenting persuasive arguments, and reaching fair resolutions, whether the involved attorneys are representing a client, serving as guardian ad litem (GAL), or handling arbitration and mediation. Cultural Competency in Family Law Cases 2025 brings practical strategies for recognizing and respecting cultural differences while fulfilling an attorney role in the legal system. Participants will gain insight into how cultural norms, values, and experiences influence clients’ expectations, communication styles, and decision-making.
