Attorneys Mederson and Thao will discuss data privacy with their audience, covering the use, risks, and regulation of sensitive data; the origins of biometric data collection and use; how and why this data could be collected and used; Wisconsin case law; business liability to clients and employees with regard to data breaches; and data privacy enhancement tools.
Attorney Jessica Mederson is a partner at Stafford Rosenbaum, practicing business law and litigation. She focuses on manufacturing and construction disputes, Uniform Commercial Code litigation, and contract negotiations and disputes. She has extensive experience with the legal issues relating to resiliency in the built environment. She serves on the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute’s Financial & Risk Management Committee, is certified for entry into OSHA permit-required confined spaces, and writes and presents nationally on addressing resiliency in construction projects and business operations.
Attorney Pahoua Thao is a partner at Stafford Rosenbaum, practicing primarily litigation, insurance law, and municipal law, representing clients in both state and federal court. She focuses her practice on preventative strategies for her clients to avoid lawsuits, implement good governance practices, evaluate cybersecurity risks, and draft company policies to limit risks.
