Attorney Dave Billing’s Practice
Attorney David Billing focuses his practice in the areas that most affect individual and family-owned businesses: estate planning and probate, real estate transactions, and business law.
Dave is well versed in estate, gift and other transfer taxes and Wisconsin marital property law. He provides clients with sophisticated legal techniques to maintain, grow, and protect their personal and business assets. He also has extensive experience representing beneficiaries and fiduciaries in the administration of estates and trusts. He represents clients in a wide range of matters concerning real estate, including purchases, sales, land divisions, developments, and re-zonings. Dave provides counsel for the acquisition or sale of large and small businesses, helps clients create business entities, and provides guidance on many of the challenges encountered by business owners.
Dave’s practice also includes copyright, trademark, and trade-name law. He represents the interests of an internationally renowned artistic talent in perfecting and licensing copyrights and trade and service marks.
While in law school, DAve was the Managing Editor of the Marquette Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, he served as clerk to Justice Leo B. Hanley of the Wisconsin Supreme Court prior to entering private practice in 1978.

Dave has authored legal articles appearing across a variety of publications, as well as conducted seminars and fulfilled speaking engagements in many of his areas of expertise. He is involved in many civic and charitable organizations.
