Meg Vergeront has been named Chair of the Wisconsin State Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section. Her term as Chair runs through June 2017. The Labor and Employment Law Section includes new and experienced attorneys who practice labor and employment law. The section keeps members up-to-date on recent developments in the law. The section also allows members to exchange information and opinions on various labor topics and legal issues in the workplace.

Meg's practice focuses primarily onemployment, constitutional, and property tax law. She represents municipalities in all forums in property tax issues, such as excessive assessment and imposition of unlawful taxes. On the employment law front, she helps private and public sector employers find common sense solutions to the day-to-day workplace problems they face, from hiring and firing and everything in between. She also defends employers in federal and state forums against a broad range of claims, from harassment and discrimination claims, to wage and hour claims, to claims of union contract violations.
