Stafford Rosenbaum Receives Three United Way of Dane County Awards
Stafford Rosenbaum recently received three United Way Partners for Change awards. Among Madison law firms, Stafford Rosenbaum was awarded:
- Highest Increase in Dollars Raised;
- Highest Percent in Participation; and
- Highest Percentage Increase in Participation.
Prominent firms are involved in nearly every successful fundraising effort in this county. As the preeminent philanthropic organization in the county, United Way of Dane County has had a strong relationship with some of these prominent firms, but not all.
In 2012, a group of attorneys from the top 11 law firms in Dane County came together to determine how to best increase participation and overall giving in their firms to United Way. What resulted was a competition amongst these 11 firms that has grown their collective giving by 25% over three years. Firms compete in the categories of Highest Leadership Giving, Highest Increase in Dollars Raised, Highest Participation, and Highest Percentage Increase in Participation. This year, participating firms have raised a combined $316,243 in pledges for our community’s Partners for Change. Through United Way Partners for Change more children are gaining the skills they need to start school ready to learn, more students are graduating, our community is safer, fewer families are facing homelessness, and more seniors are able to live in the homes of their choosing.
