The Wisconsin State Bar Communications Committee has awarded Stafford partner, Paul Kent a certificate of commendation for the article, “Wisconsin's Wetland Reform Act,” Wisconsin Lawyer, Vol. 86, No. 1, February 2013. Mr. Kent co-authored the article with Attorney Jordan K. Lamb of Dewitt Ross & Stevens.

Each year the Communications Committee, which serves as the Wisconsin Lawyer Editorial Board, recognizes writing excellence in the publication. The Wisconsin Lawyer author award was named in honor of Wisconsin’s first supreme court chief justice, Charles Dunn.

Mr. Kent, U.W. 1981, is a senior partner at Stafford Rosenbaum LLP, Madison. Hispractice focuses on environmental regulatory matters with a particular emphasis on water issues. He represents municipalities on wastewater, stormwater, water supply, mining, energy and other environmental issues. He also represents individuals and businesses on land use and development matters including developments in and around shorelands, wetlands, and navigable waters. He has served on over a dozen DNR advisory committees on water policy issues and has been involved in developing environmental legislation. He has argued cases before the Wisconsin and United States Supreme Courts. Mr. Kent recently authoredWisconsin Water Law in the 21st Century.
