2015-16 Legislative Session Updates to Wisconsin Water Law Book by Paul Kent
June 6th, 2016
Paul Kent, a partner in the Madison office of Stafford Rosenbaum LLP, is author of Wisconsin Water Law in the 21st Century. The last two legislative sessions have resulted in substantial changes to shoreland zoning, chapter 30, and other provisions. These legislative updates from the 2015-16 session can be found at www.wisconsinwaterlaw.com.
Wisconsin Water Law in the 21st Century is a practical and comprehensive guide to water rights and regulations in Wisconsin. It is designed to help lawyers and non-lawyers with an interest in water resource issues to understand Wisconsin water law – its history, structure, and current provision.
Paul Kent's practice focuses on environmental regulatory matters with a particular emphasis on water issues. He represents municipalities on wastewater, stormwater, water supply, mining, energy, and other environmental issues. He also represents individuals and businesses on land use and development matters including developments in and around shorelands, wetlands, and navigable waters. He has served on over a dozen DNR advisory committees on water policy issues and has been involved in developing environmental legislation. Mr. Kent has argued appeals before the Wisconsin and United States Supreme Courts.
