We employ law clerks part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. Successful law clerks are often considered for available associate positions, so we look for the same qualities in law clerk candidates that we do in our associate candidates — top-notch academic records and communications skills, an enthusiasm for client service, integrity, and teamwork.
We do not pigeonhole clerks into one particular practice area, but seek to expose them to a wide variety of work and plenty of opportunities to get to know the firm’s attorneys. Attendance at depositions, trials, mediations and the like are strongly encouraged.
Stafford Rosenbaum is committed to building a diverse firm. As part of this commitment, we became one of the earliest participants in the Diversity Clerkship Program sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin. The program promotes placements for first-year students in a setting where minorities or marginalized groups traditionally have been under-represented.
