December 2, 2013: Every three years, the DNR reviews Wisconsin’s water quality standards or related guidance for development or revision during the following three years. This process is called the triennial standards review process. The DNR is accepting comments to determining the priorities for the 2015-2017 triennial standards review process. December 3, 2013: The DNR will hold a meeting of the Air Management Study Group. The study group of a stakeholder working group that addresses policy and technical topics relevant to the DNR’s Air Management Program. The agenda includes air quality mapping, billing for Title V sources, notification of opportunities for 25% ROP and exemptions, construction permit customer survey, alternative enforcement options and air permit streamlining.

December 3, 2013: The DNR will hold a public hearing on an air pollution control permit application for the construction of propose facility modifications at Waupaca Foundry, Inc. – Plant 2/3. The permit application includes plans and specifications for the modification of line 5 and the replacement of shakeouts on line 3 and line 4 in Plant 3.

December 4, 2013: The DNR will hold a public hearing on an air pollution control permit application submitted by Source Energy Services Proppants for construction and operation of an industrial sand processing plant in Weyerhauser. Source Energy Services Proppants also operates an existing industrial sand mine and wet plant located about 10 miles away from the proposed processing plant. The mine and the processing plan are considered one combined emission source. The existing sand mine and wet plant are operating under a registration operation permit. The proposed project is subject to new source performance standard and by rule after the proposed project, the facility will no longer be eligible for a registration operation permit. The coverage of the facility under the registration operation permit will be withdrawn.

December 5, 2013: The DNR will hold a public informational hearing for proposed wetland individual permit, changing of stream course and two bridge crossings for constructing a rail loop to support rail-based shipping of sand to be produced at the adjacent proposed industrial sand mine for Riverland Energy Cooperative located in Arcadia.
