Environmental Week in Preview – Week of April 7, 2014
April 8-11, 2014: The Division of Hearings and Appeals will hold a contested case hearing regarding the air pollution control construction permit issued to FML Sand, LLC.
April 9, 2014: The Natural Resources Board agenda includes a request to adopt changes to NR 157, NR 219 and NR 233 related to analytical test methods and procedures for the analysis of wastewater and biosolids. The proposed rule changes were initiated to comply with findings by the EPA which identified inconsistencies between Wisconsin’s statutory or regulatory authority to administer its WPDES permit program. The primary objective of the rule change is to remove analytical methods that EPA has not approved for wastewater and to add methods that are currently allowed by EPA but that are not included in NR 219.
April 9, 2014: The DNR will hold an informational hearing regarding the issuance of a certificate of completion of reclamation for Inspiration Development Company Shullsburg mining site.
