May 5, 2014: The DNR will hold a public hearing regarding an air pollution control construction permit application including plans and specifications for construction and initial operation of three new large (24.5 million gallons each) crude oil storage tanks, modification of two large (under construction) crude oil storage tanks, increased pipeline 61 capacity, associated piping components, cleaning emissions from existing tanks and a new diesel emergency generator.
May 9, 2014: Comments are due on DNR’s proposed guidance regarding the options for recycling and procedures for obtaining DNR approval for landfill disposal of glass from cathode-ray tube (CRT) televisions and computer monitors. It also provides direction to DNR staff and external stakeholders on whether the weight of the CRT glass that is disposed of or otherwise used in a landfill can be counted toward meeting manufacturer recycling obligations under the state’s E-Cycle Wisconsin program.
