June 3, 2014:The Division of Hearings and Appeals will hold a Class 1 contested case public hearing in the matter of the application of Waupaca County to abandon and remove the Little Hope Dam on the Crystal River, Town of Dayton, Waupaca County.

June 5, 2014: The DNR Brownfields Study Group Economic Impact Committee will review the economic impact of the state brownfield program including discussing the scope of brownfields program impact study, RFQ/RFP contents and funding.

June 5, 2014: The DNR will hold a public hearing on a permit to construct a ford to cross an unnamed tributary to Hacket Branch. The project is to construct and equipment crossing (ford) capable of accommodating large agricultural machinery.

June 5, 2014: Public comments are due on the DNR’s draft guidance on storm drain inlet protection for construction sites. The intent of the update is to include additional inlet protection devices that are variations of the existing Type D inlet devices and were developed by members of the Green Tier/ Clean Waters Environmental Results Program Charter (GTCWI). These devises utilize different filtering fabrics than the Type D device, and allow for capture of smaller diameter soil particles. Both of the additional devices have recently been used on several road construction projects within the City of Madison.
