Erika Bierma is a well-known and highly-regarded attorney who regularly appears in Wisconsin state courts and the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. Her practice includes both criminal and civil litigation, and she has handled and been involved with many high-profile cases.
Erika represents individuals accused of serious felonies, including but not limited to, repeated sexual assault of a child, sexual assault, child pornography, drug offenses, burglary, and many other felonies as well as misdemeanors. She represents people accused of OWI’s, both criminal and ordinance. She represents individuals at all stages of the criminal process—from investigation to pre-charging negotiations to jury trial and through appeal. She appears in court on a near daily basis and is well respected by the judges, prosecutors, and courthouse staff. Erika has significant trial experience.
She is a former Associate Federal Defender where she represented individuals accused of a wide range of serious federal crimes. Some of which include white collar, computer, and tax crimes. Erika has also represented victims of crimes as well as grand jury and John Doe witnesses.
Juvenile Court and School Disciplinary Proceedings:
Erika’s practice also involves representing juveniles accused of ordinance violations, misdemeanors, and felonies. She also represents parents involved in the juvenile criminal justice system. Her practice also includes representing students subject to investigations in non-academic misconduct proceedings, school discipline, and the expulsion process for students at both the high school and university level.
Representing the Interests of Business Clients:
Erika represents the interests of business clients, having successfully recovered misappropriated funds for financial institutions, private individuals, and corporations. Her experience also includes assisting business clients with compliance with grand jury subpoenas and requests involving most investigative agencies.
