Alysa Steenport recognized with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Outstanding Law Student Award
Stafford Rosenbaum is thrilled to announce that Law Clerk Alysa Steenport, third-year University of Wisconsin Law School student, has been recognized with the Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Outstanding Law Student Award by the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA)! The award seeks to honor students who show exceptional work ethic, perseverance, and a tireless drive to ensure justice, and the organization chose Alysa for this competitive recognition based on her distinguished academic achievement, leadership, public service, and commitment to constructive dialogue. Alysa will be honored in Washington, D.C., in late 2026, at the WWCDA Awards Gala ceremony and celebration, of which Stafford Rosenbaum is proud to be a sponsor.
Alysa says of the honor, “I view this recognition as both a reminder of and a responsibility to the values at the heart of Justice Ginbsurg’s legacy. To me, one of the defining features of Justice Ginsburg’s example was her ability to advance meaningful change while fostering genuine relationships with those who held opposing views. She demonstrated that rigorous advocacy, fierce disagreement, and deep personal affection are not mutually exclusive. I aspire to live out that example in my own life and career, and this recognition reminds me that I do not pursue that aspiration alone.”
The WWCDA “promotes the common business and professional interests of attorneys and other professionals whose clients include companies, other organizations and individuals in connection with the wide-range of white collar government investigations and enforcement actions (criminal, civil, regulatory, and administrative), internal investigations, compliance and ethics counseling, and related matters. WWCDA promotes inclusion for all legal and consulting professionals in this field, including organizing professional activities to facilitate networking and business development opportunities, and providing educational programming relevant to the field.”
