Stafford Rosenbaum LLP partner Laura E. Callan has been recognized as a 2019 Woman in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal. Along with 22 other praiseworthy female legal professionals, Attorney Callan will be honored at a luncheon event in Milwaukee on June 20, 2019.

The Wisconsin Law Journal’s Women in the Law event and awards celebrate extraordinary female legal professionals. Those recognized are women who have had a profound impact on the legal field, take on critical leadership roles in their companies or in their communities, and model ideal legal profession behavior and ethics for the next generation.

“Laura exemplifies all of the criteria needed for this honor and more. She takes her practice seriously, she always demonstrates strong client service, and she has found success in her practice,” said Stafford Rosenbaum LLP Managing Partner Christopher Hughes.

Attorney Callan’s practice concentrates on commercial and asset-based lending transactions, which include drafting and negotiating the full gamut of loan documents. She regularly represents both individuals and businesses in commercial or real estate transactions and with risk reduction to business transactions. She has experience with advising secured lenders on workout strategies, and enforcing their rights relative to collection, foreclosure, repossession, or bankruptcy proceedings.

“Beyond her practice, Laura also serves as the firm’s internal Ethics Counsel and ensures that our attorneys’ take the most ethical of approaches to their practices, a job that is often thankless. Laura’s leadership and modeling of ethics not only improves our firm’s ability to serve our clients, but it positively impacts the legal field and inspires upcoming lawyers to continue and build an ethical career,” said Hughes.
