The law firm of Stafford Rosenbaum LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew P. Dregne has been named chair of the firm’s Government Law Practice Group, and Bryan Kleinmaier has been named co-chair of the Energy Law Practice Group. Dregne succeeds Richard C. Yde in this position. Yde served as the leader of the Government Law Practice Group for twelve years. Kleinmaier will co-chair the Energy Law Practice Group with Ed Hughes.

Dregne’s practice focuses primarily on government and administrative law. He serves asgeneral counsel for a number of local governments, and regularly assists cities, villages, towns, and counties with a wide range of legal matters. He also represents private parties in land use, development, and other matters. Dregne frequently presents at municipal law seminars for municipal attorneys and local government officials and has authored articles on municipal law issues. “I am honored to be chosen as chair of the firm's Government Law Practice Group,” said Dregne. “I am excited to continue to collaborate with my colleagues to sustain the success the group has achieved for the firm and its clients.” Since 2007, Dregne has been selected by peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America©. He graduated cum laude from University of Wisconsin Law School.

Kleinmaier’s practice focuses on energy and utility law, municipal law, and labor and employment law. He has handled numerous proceedings before trial courts, appellate courts, and administrative agencies and has appeared before the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin in utility law matters involving both public and municipal utilities. “I look forward to working with the Energy Law Practice Group in a larger capacity,” said Kleinmaier. “I hope to help foster the continued client successes it has accomplished throughout the years.” He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America©. Kleinmaier graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
