Stafford Rosenbaum LLP is pleased to announce that the firm’s clients New Glarus Brewing Company and Madison Gas and Electric were among the recipients of the 2014 Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment Awards.
The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce’s Business Friend of the Environment Awards highlight what Wisconsin companies are doing in the areas of pollution prevention, innovative technology and environmental stewardship. The goal of this awards program is to demonstrate to state policymakers, businesses and the public that sound environmental practices are good for Wisconsin and its business environment.
The New Glarus Brewing Company was honored in the category of sustainability for the system and process improvements the company has implemented to lower water use, reduce power consumption, increase recycling levels, and improve heat recovery. Madison Gas and Electric received an award in the environmental stewardship category for continuing to be a leader on a range of environmental issues in the Madison area.
Now in its 25th year, the Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment Award honors business programs that demonstrate an innovative approach to environmental protection, or a level of effort beyond that which is required by regulatory compliance.
