Practice

Jared M. Potter is a Senior Associate with Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. His practice focuses on probate law, estate planning, family law and business law.

Jared has represented clientele in a wide range of areas. His current practice includes:

• Litigation, cooperative and collaborative divorce actions
• Paternity and paternity acknowledgement actions
• Child custody, placement and support actions
• Juvenile and adult guardianships
• Estate planning including drafting of last wills, powers of attorney, living wills, trusts
• Representing and accepting appointments as a Personal Representative for estates
• Probate litigation
• Helping clients organize their corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships
• Negotiating and drafting agreements for the sale and acquisition of businesses
• Advising on the tax implications of proposed transactions
• Real estate transactions
• Commercial landlord and tenant disputes and lease review
• Negotiating and drafting real estate leases

Jared assisted clients who provide proper gravestones for Civil War veterans by obtaining a Writ of Mandamus to allow the clients to access and review burial records that Milwaukee County claimed to be confidential under the Wisconsin Public Records Law.

Jared earned his Family Law Certificate from Florida Coastal School of Law due to his focused studies on family law.
