Practice

Amie’s practice focuses on property tax litigation and business litigation. Her experience includes:

  • Representing municipalities in property tax assessment and exemption cases.
  • Assisting businesses and individuals obtain, renew, and protect intellectual property rights.
  • Representing clients in intellectual property, contract, and other business disputes.

Amie recently won a landmark case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court regarding the property taxation of condominiums. Saddle Ridge Corp. v. Board of Review for Town of Pacific, 2010 WI 47.

Amie is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin.

Professional Recognition and Awards

Selected by peers as a Wisconsin Rising Star by Super Lawyers for her business litigation work (2006-2009, 2011).

The Wisconsin Association of Assessing Officers awarded Amie a Presidential Citation in 2010.

Teaching Experience

Amie routinely presents seminars to municipal assessors and attorneys on property tax law. 

Prior to entering law school, Amie helped teach a trial advocacy course at Marquette University.

Amie graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2002. Since graduation, she has lived in the Madison area with her husband, Bryan, and their two golden retrievers, Penny and Cleo. In her free time, Amie enjoys gardening, fishing, attending sporting events, and spending time with her husband and two dogs. Amie also devotes her time to a golden retriever rescue organization, Wisconsin Adopt A Golden Retriever (WAAGR), and to Habitat for Humanity.
